| My Formula 5000 |
The Monoposto Racing Council and SVRA are
working together to celebrate the fortieth
anniversary of Formula 5000 in America. The
SCCA started the professional single seat series
for 5-liter single seater's in 1968.
Plans are underway to create a grid of F5000
cars containing at least 10,000 Horsepower (20+
cars) at the 2008 Zippo Grand Prix at Watkins
Glen. This year six F5000 ground pounders
attended the race. The goal of twenty cars for
2008 will make for quite a spectacle at the Glen.
So lets get the word out and see if we can reach
the magic 10,000 HP number!

communicating with Mark Harmer of the
Monoposto Group on the east coast to work out
potential events for a reunion. Ideally we would
like to have 3 events located on the east coast,
mid west and west coast.

planning to participate and which events/race
tracks you would like to race in for the 2008
reunion.
